A cup with an earthy, organic texture reminiscent of the surface of asteroids and planets. Using kurinuki techniques to carve away pieces of clay to form the shape of the cup, the surface remains slightly rough and entirely one-of-a-kind. The clay body is left bare to highlight the texture of the stoneware but a light glaze is placed upon the rim to ensure comfort with use.
